About Pontus Nilvander

Pontus Nilvander is a Swedish interior designer. He has undertaken residential projects such as villas and apartments, resorts and also restaurants. He started his own firm “Nilvander Ateljeer” in 2010 after having worked with Sköna Hem, the largest interior design magazine in Sweden, which he still collaborates with. Pontus team is responsible for the entirety of each project which includes areas such as, architecture, interior and furniture design, always with regard to our cultural heritage.

Pontus mixes traditional and modern design in a way that really stands out. Before Pontus began to take on projects in Sweden, he had responsibility for the design and decor of Cape Shambhala in Thailand. A project that began in October 2002, where he has been using materials typical of Asian culture. The goal of Cape Shambhala was to build a luxury estate using high-quality materials, and with the help of design that accentuates the feeling of Asian luxury and harmony. Pontus does this with the help of like-minded artisans who he brings in to the various projects. Pontus has a large network of highly skilled craftsmen.
