Custom-built joinery and walk-in closet on Strandvägen
Custom-built joinery in an apartment on Strandvägen: wardrobes in the hall, a lit bookcase framing a doorway and a walk-in closet with drawers, brass knobs and a ladder. Joinery that looks as if it has always been there.

Hall wardrobes with panelled doors
In the hall the wardrobes run from floor to ceiling, with panelled doors, a plinth and mouldings that follow the apartment’s plasterwork. Long, straight handles keep the look restrained, and behind the doors lighting picks out the hanging rails and shoe shelves.
Custom joinery in an apartment with plasterwork and wainscotting should feel like part of the building, not like furniture that has been moved in. That is why the proportions, the mouldings and the white paint match the rest of the rooms.
A bookcase around the doorway
A bookcase built around a doorway does two things at once: it adds storage and it turns the passage between two rooms into a moment. The shelves have integrated lighting, and the lower part has closed cupboards with panels that tie in with the wainscotting.
Walk-in closet with drawers and a ladder
The walk-in closet has wardrobes on three sides, open lit shelves, glazed cupboards and drawers with light wood drawer boxes and brass knobs. A ladder on a rail reaches the top cupboards. Read more about how we approach built-ins in Custom-built joinery.
